Class by RIT Reports

To access Class by RIT reports, your district must have a licensing agreement with NWEA that includes either Instructional Resources or Dynamic Reporting Suite. To access Class by RIT reports, log on to the NWEA reports site. (This does require a login and password.) Then, scroll down to find Class by RIT which is located under the Instrucitonal Resources heading. You will need to use the drop down menus that appear in the main window to choose School, Testing Term, Teacher and Class. Finally, click the Submit button.

In the window, a chart headed with RIT score blocks appears. It contains students names. They are placed in the chart according to their overall RIT score for a given subject. This chart gives you information about where a group of students are performing and where individual students fall within the group.

To get deeper information, click on a subject name. A new chart opens that again is headed with RIT score bloicks and is filled with student names, however the goal areas now appear on the left side. Students are placed in this chart according to their scores in the individual goal areas.

You will need to choose a single goal area on which to focus in order to get information that will guide instruction, you can either click on a single student's name or on <All students in cell>. This will open a new window that will lead you to the Des Cartes Learning Continuum. You may need to scroll down a page in the new window to see this.

Check out the PowerPoint below for some guiding questions that can help you to use this report most efficiently.
